Ballroom Dancing featuring Viva Dance Studio

Fridays, 7:00 – 8:00 pm: 6-Week Session, begins week of March 4
Learn the art of partner dance with Viva Dance Studio at LifeWorks of Southwest General. This session, your teacher will focus on the Foxtrot and Swing. You will master several steps in these two dances allowing you to "cut-a-rug" at any social dance you attend. No experience necessary!
Members: $139 per couple or $70 per individual
Nonmembers: $159 per couple, $80 per individual

Pilates Reformer Intro ClassStacy and Jamie

Ballet: Beginner & Intermediate Level

Saturdays 11:30 am – 12:30 pm: 6-Week Session, March 14 – April 25 (no class April 11)
Have you always wanted to take a ballet class? Have you taken dance, but it has been awhile? Do something for YOU in the new year & find joy in letting that inner dancer out!
Participants will acquire knowledge of technique & movements of classical ballet, and learn an original choreographed dance. Health Benefits to ballet: It increases flexibility, balance, posture, core strength, tones muscles and is therapeutic!
Members:  $27;  Nonmembers: $70

•Recommended attire: Regular work out clothing & ballet shoes.

Weight Loss with Hypnosis

7:00-8:00PM, Tuesday, March 10
Our clinical hypnotherapist, Don Mannarino, MA, will guide participants in putting an end to compulsive, impulsive and emotional overeating.  With Don’s skillful guidance and the power of positive suggestion, participants will regain self-control and self-discipline, begin choosing foods that are healthful rather than harmful, and end the emotional and psychological craving for sugars, sweets and salty foods. CD available at session for $10 cash only.

Free Talk - Foam Rolling for Recovery

Wednesday, March 18 at 11:45 a.m. or Thursday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m.
Join our Fitness Specialists as they discuss tools to aid in your workout recovery. This is an interactive presentation, so come ready to stretch and foam roll. All supplies will be provided, just bring yourself!

This program provides nutritional support, exercise recommendations, and the accountability to keep you on track. Fitness is Power®, an exercise program for breast cancer survivors

Fitness is Power® is a funded program to provide breast cancer survivors with a 6-month fitness plan including one on one fitness coaching, support and even an oncology massage. Candidates for this program must have received services at Southwest General. Donations are accepted any time.

RX for Health - Physician Referred Exercise Program

This 60 day exercise program is designed to help manage chronic diseases such as obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes & cholesterol. Participants will receive one-on-one appointments with a fitness coach, an individualized exercise program and nutritional guidance. All participants have full access to the LifeWorks facility and to over 100 complimentary group exercise classes.

Pre-Op Hip Knee Program

This exercise program is physician-referred for patients scheduled to have hip or knee replacement surgery. The program offers 4 or 8 week session options.

Healthy Back to the Mat

Back to the Mat is a one hour pilates based mat class designed to strengthen the back, abs and core muscles of the torso. Having a stronger back can decrease back pain, improve flexibility and balance. A strong back will improve your everyday life. You will have more flexibility and range of motion to do the things you need to do, and love to do, pain-free.
